Forging Strong Families: Adjusting to Adolescence

October 19, 1996 (Weekend Service)

There are drastic physical, intellectual, and social changes in kids lives during adolescence. For parents to navigate well during the chaos of these years, they need to learn how to listen. They need to spend time investing into conversation that informs them of what is really going on in the childs life. They need to choose their battles wisely and affirm any manifestation of maturity that they see. Above all, while in adolescence, parents should pray that the child remains safe, grows in vitality and wisdom, and stays connected to the family unit.
