Lessons From An Hourglass

December 27, 1997 (Weekend Service)

An hourglass is a visual representation of not only time gone by, but of time remaining. What would go through your mind if you knew that you only had 30 minutes left in your life? Would it be filled with regrets of things not said or done? Of risks never taken? Of people never reached? And what about the afterlife? What would happen to your soul when the final grains of sand fall to the bottom of the glass? Would it be a place of eternal regrets or to a place where the hourglass is no more?
