A mixture of gratitude and responsibility fills those who realize that they have been chosen by God to be a leader. It's a wonder not only because God chooses them, but He gives them direction and focus as well. Leaders possess intangible instincts. God equips them with the ability to inspire, motivate, and improve other people's performance. God never abandons leaders and they are rewarded for their faithfulness to their calling. No one knows exactly how God goes about choosing people to be leaders. However, the mere fact that He does should cause us to live in awe and respond in worship.
