Human beings are the only beings in the universe that have the capability of relating in a meaningful way to the living God. We can express love, courage, honesty, integrity, and virtue. We bear God's image. But the reality of the human condition is that we are diseased by sin. We like to downplay the seriousness of this disease. We rationalize the problem away. Sometimes we just ignore it. The truth, however, is that we cannot save ourselves. Jesus Christ is the only remedy to our disease of sin. It is required that we be forgiven through Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection. Pray for the power of Christ to enter into your life and begin a restored relationship with God.
