Mother's Day 1997
May 10, 1997 (Weekend Service)
Trying to honor your parents and yet not deny their shortcomings is a difficult task. Coming to a place of acceptance, forgiveness, and reconciliation with them is one of the most important commandments in all of Scripture. Doing so orients us to the idea that there is someone bigger than ourselves. It puts us in a position of gratitude. Remember that being a parent is probably the toughest job that God could give anyone. Your family relationships will never be perfect, but with God's help, you can continually grow them.
