You cannot grow without risk, and you cannot risk without failing. Taking risks may require that you enter into a new level of community, get into small group accountability, change your job, or confront an old friend. However, you should not fear failure because failure is not an event. Failure should be thought of as a perspective, a way of speaking about the valuable life experiences that will shape you and prepare you for future experiences. The next time you take a risk, keep your eyes focused on Jesus. His power is adequate for you.
