People sometimes think that being a Christian means getting a free pass from suffering. Yet, the Bible teaches that to love means to suffer. C.S. Lewis once said, "To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken." Don't lock up your heart in a casket, where it will be safe, dark, motionless, and airless. God is present in the midst of your pain and suffering. So, embrace every moment of life that you have as a gift from Him.
