Building a Heroic Faith: Being A Hero Of Action
July 5, 1998 (Weekend Service)
In the late 1700s, William Wilberforce and a small group of evangelical Christians sparked the beginnings of the eventual world-wide outlawing of the human slave trade, but what was it that provoked this frail British parliamentarian to become a hero of action? In this message, we see that Wilberforce proved we can make a difference for social good if: we let God thoroughly change our hearts; we get off the sidelines and into the battle; and we tackle social issues as ambassadors of Christ Himself.
