Most of us wrestle with the "Monster of More," the appetite for one more acquisition, purchase, upgrade, or higher salary. Paul puts the brakes on this idea when He says in Philippians 4:11-12 that he has learned to be content in all circumstances. He says contentment is more a matter of focus than finances. The establishment and development of loving human relationships must take priority over acquiring things. Needless to say, there is no more important relationship to develop than the one we can have with Jesus Christ as our leader and forgiver.
