Truths That Transform: Don't Worry - Pray
November 20, 1999 (Weekend Service)
Worry can hurt us. It keeps us from connecting with others, from taking risks, from trusting God, and from living in the moment. To correct the problems worry causes us, Paul, in Philippians 4:6-7, instructs us not to worry, but to pray. Pray about everything. Pray about what is bothering us; about health, money, relationships, marriage, whatever. Paul doesn't say our circumstances will always change for the better, but what he does say is that "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." That is cure enough for any worry.
