Truths That Transform: Rejoice In The Lord Always And Again I Say Rejoice
November 13, 1999 (Weekend Service)
One of our greatest challenges is to experience joy in our lives. In Philippians, Paul instructs, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice." Paul is not saying rejoice in people, possessions or your position, but rather rejoice in the Lord. Although people, possessions or your position may be nice, there will come a time where they will let us down. But God is always there for us. We can get so consumed by our circumstances, be they good or bad, that joy is sucked out of us. Again, however, if our joy is rooted in the Lord, we can't be distracted or depressed by our present situation.
