In Philippians 1:21, Paul gives his life mission statement: "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." We all have a mission statement, whether we have actually written it or not. The way we live can become our mission statement. It could be to live comfortably, to earn as much money as possible, or something else self-centered. If we have a mission statement similar to that of Paul's, we put ourselves in a win-win situation. Living for Christ, relating with Him and obeying Him is living for the highest earthly purpose imaginable.
