Truths That Transform: He That Began A Good Work In You Will Complete It
October 9, 1999 (Weekend Service)
In his letter to the Philippians, Paul informed his readers that "He who began a good work in you will complete it." To rephrase: whatever God starts, He finishes. That verse (Phil. 1:6) has implications for seekers and believers alike. Because God started His church, it cannot fall. In addition, God has begun a work in the lives of those investigating Christianity. He wants them to come to Him to bring completion to their lives. To the believers, God is at work molding them into people He wants them to be. And He won't be finished until it happens. However, for God to bring completion to His work in all people, He must have their cooperation; He won't do it alone.
