Paul wrote to Timothy that "God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power." In fact, God delights in the courage of ordinary people. He wants us to experience relational courage, the courage to resist temptation, the courage to pursue dreams, the courage to make difficult decisions and the type of courage that allows us to endure. God wants to have relationship with us. That is why He wants us to take risks and display courage, because then He can walk with us when we have to be courageous.
