No Fear [1999]: Part 2
August 14, 1999 (Weekend Service)
Fear is a "self-correcting response." Fear alerts us to danger and motivates us to take action to correct the problem. However, a common human response to fear is avoidance, by procrastination, denial or indecision. Avoidance is very tempting because it promises short-term relief. However, it doesn't correct anything. That's not how God wants us to face fear. If we are to diminish fear, we have to take a step of action, and we'll see our faith increase. God doesn't say He'll remove anything that's troubling us, but when we face our fear head on, God promises us He'll be with us when we do face it.
