The Case For Christianity: The Case For God
April 10, 1999 (Weekend Service)
In this message, we consider three arguments for God's the existence. The cosmological argument states that something outside the circle of contingent items in our world serves as the explanation of everything in the world. The teleological argument points to the order, sophistication and intricacies of nature and says all this couldn’t be created from sheer chance -- it had to be created by a supreme designer. The moral argument says that a supreme moral being stamps a moral code on the life of all people -- a universal code by which we live. However convincing these arguments are, there are some people that trade the evidence for the existence of God for a lie that He doesn’t exist because it doesn’t serve their own self interest. Those that hold this view need to know that there is a God that is good and not only has a plan for the world, but a plan for everyone’s very life.
