Mother's Day 1999
May 8, 1999 (Weekend Service)
Mothers make a unique, significant and irreplaceable contribution to the parenting process. Because they are so crucial in a family's development, it follows that they be set up to be successful. There are quite a few things mothers need in order to succeed, including significance, identity, growth as a person, intimacy, instruction, assistance, recreation, perspective and most important of all, hope. Mothers, along with the rest of us can and must, find hope in the God of heaven. The Bible attaches significance to all these needs and makes it clear, that God, through His son, Jesus Christ, is the hope for all mothers as they take on their difficult, yet important, and may times rewarding, role in the family.
