Making The Most of Your Marriage: Picking A Partner

February 6, 1999 (Weekend Service)

Outside of one's choice to follow God, the single most important decision a person can make is deciding whom to marry. Using eight "don'ts" of spousal selection, we learn ways to determine whom we will take as our life partner. It is wise not to marry when one is too young, too hurried, too eager, too ready to please someone, too unfamiliar with or too dissimilar to the prospective spouse, too inclined to make unrealistic expectations, or too unhealthy psychologically. These are important issues that can be used as a guideline when making that crucial decision.
