Money, Sex, And Power: The Financial Ten Commandments
January 16, 1999 (Weekend Service)
In this message, there are five "thou shalts" and five "thou shalt nots" concerning one's attitude toward money. To honor God with money is to be responsible with earning, saving and spending. We are to work hard to earn money, present a good portion of it to the church and charities, avoid debt and get-rich-quick schemes, save and invest wisely, and judiciously model the handling of it to our children. In essence, we are not to make the acquisition and outlay of money the focus of our lives. That focus belongs to loving God and loving people.
