Parents and Kids: Same Planet, Different Worlds: Bodies & Borders

February 22, 2003 (Weekend Service)

When children mature into teenagers, parents may become totally overwhelmed with how to deal with issues such as: 1) sexuality, 2) privacy, 3) freedom, and 4) anger. Concluding this two-part series, John Ortberg tackles tough questions regarding boundaries and knowing when your teenager is trying to test those limits. He also shares insightful advice based on his own parenting experience and what he has done to handle these crises when they arrive. By making sure there is constant communication with a healthy sense of trust and guidance from parents, teens will be able to handle maturation responsibly. Teens can also stay strong and self-confident in a world where negative media image and peer pressure is ever present.
