In this world where being promoted is an esteemed value, Jesus did the exact opposite. He suffered the most humiliating of all demotions, leaving the splendors of Heaven to come to Earth only to be despised, abused, and eventually killed. But His unmistakable love for us is never more lovingly illustrated than it is at Christmas time. This powerful message reminds us of the cost Jesus paid in order to save us and prepare us for an eternity with Him.
