This message helps answer three questions around the Christmas story in Luke 2: Why this city? Why these parents? Why at this time in human history? Obviously, God has every aspect of this miracle birth planned out in advance, and as we're provided more in-depth background information about the places and the people, we again catch a glimpse of his wisdom, his foresight and, most especially, his love for mankind. A fourth question to consider: Knowing that even in less than ideal circumstances God can manifest his greatness in unbelievable ways, how will you respond when a divine assignment is asked of you?
