Uncharted Waters: Part 5, Turning Disruption into Reconciliation
October 9, 2016 (Weekend Service)
Jacob and Esau certainly did not demonstrate much brotherly love as they moved into adulthood, especially after the younger deceitful Jacob took Esau's birthright and blessing. Yet this story of deception leading to disruption comes to a tender God-directed reconciliation between the two brothers. This message speaks to the ways in which Christ-followers need to manage the not-always-easy steps in situations, personal and beyond, where reconciliation is necessary—our model being the reconciliation encounter God allowed on the cross for us, so that we could be made right with him.
