In 2 Timothy 2:3-6, the apostle Paul calls Timothy to action using word pictures of soldier, athlete, and farmer. This message expands upon those roles and adds the perspective of commanding officer (Jesus), playbook (the Bible), and harvest (people) and the impact of understanding and embracing those concepts in getting it right for the kingdom and in showcasing God to the world as we respond to the thirty-five thousand choices on which sociologists tell us an individual makes decisions each day.
