Soundtrack: The Songs and Stories that Shape Us: Part 1, the 70's
September 13, 2015 (Weekend Service)
The decade of the '70s was when it all started. With the spiritual guidance of a wise mentor and the enthusiasm of a group of young people to bring the excitement of redemption to family and friends, Willow Creek held its first formal church service in a rented movie theater. In getting this newly-formed church off the ground, the founding members—mostly twenty-somethings—learned about teamwork, about leadership, spiritual gifts, the need for board accountability, and the impact of an invitational life. This message brings focus to the earliest years of Willow's history.
