Restart: Part 6: A Sabbath Restart
February 8, 2015 (Weekend Service)
Although probably everyone has heard the Commandment that speaks to (commands!) keeping the Sabbath holy, we're not good at making that a part of our week. The busyness of life so often takes over, telling us we don't have the time to give twenty-four consecutive hours to God. And so this message reminds us anew that feeble excuses to avoid a Sabbath don't cut it, and we're given ways to start making our Sabbath happen in order to refresh and revitalize us in body and spirit and, most importantly, in relationship with God and others.
