It's easy for the true meaning of Christmas to get lost among the season's hustle and bustle. However, it is important to keep in mind the importance of Jesus Christ's birth on earth. Using some of the Christmas season's trappings as reminders, we can remember what Christmas is all about. When we see a nativity scene, we can remind ourselves it really happened in human history. When we hear Christmas music, we can remember the first carol sung by the shepherds, when we pay with our credit cards, we can recall Jesus' debt paid for us and when we receive gifts, we can be aware of His gift to us of eternal life.
