The Relationship You've Always Wanted: Three Funerals And A Wedding (When Marriage Ends)
November 12, 2000 (Weekend Service)
All marriages end. Statistics show that one of two American marriages end in divorce. Marriages also end by the death of one or both partners. In almost every case, participants undergo a grieving period. There are good ways to grieve and bad ways to grieve. Bad grief is trying to numb the pain by busyness, denial or by some type of "medication." “Good” grief is when grief is met head-on and truly experienced. When Christ followers grieve, they don't avoid the pain, but they do grow. And when marriages end, those that grieve can come away with their lives changed, and also strengthened by God.
