How To Go Down In History
October 21, 2000 (Weekend Service)
As Willow Creek Community Church embarks upon Chapter 2, Senior Pastor Bill Hybels gives biblical examples of God’s provision to His people; especially the people who gave of themselves as they followed God, in thought and actions. One of the biblical examples is Jesus’ commentary on the widow who gave all she had to the temple treasury. The way Willow Creek members and attenders gave at the beginning of the church’s existence must be duplicated at the Chapter 2 stage. It is not the amount given that is important, rather it is giving in the same spirit as the widow and then trusting God to provide for the church and its individuals.
