Before the birth of Willow Creek Community Church in 1975, the youth ministry that pre-dated the church made strong use of the arts - song, drama, multimedia and dance. The arts were incorporated into Willow Creek's services and have been a part of them ever since. The right use of the arts in the church can make the message of Christianity come alive. God gave people gifts in the arts to reach others for Christ, and especially in this culture, they can be effectively incorporated into the service.
