Easter 2000: Easter Snapshots
April 22, 2000 (Weekend Service)
God has wired us to be relational, working, and spiritual people. However, we have edged out God's plan in favor of self-governance. Substance abuse, adultery, and jealously have now entered into family life. The workplace is filled with deception, power struggles, and manipulations. And the hearts and minds of the spiritual community have become small and weary. By serving ourselves, we have taken all significant meaning out of our lives. The good news is that God has sent someone who can atone for the sins of the world. Through the power of the resurrection, Jesus Christ can deliver us from our self-governed relational, working, and spiritual lives and restore us back into relationship with God.
