Easter 2003: He Lives
April 19, 2003 (Weekend Service)
A relationship with Christ is one of freedom not bondage. It's a relationship with a living God, made possible by what it is we celebrate-the empty tomb of Jesus Christ. He is the One who made it possible for us to be connected to God the Father, through His death and then His resurrection. The rules associated with Christianity are fundamentally to keep us from hurting ourselves and from squandering our one and only lives. When we are rebellious, we can get our lives entangled in all kinds of spiritual knots. Christ reminds us that He offers inexhaustible rivers of living water. When we love Him, we give ourselves freely to His service. We are involved in the lives of people who are suffering and need a refreshing drink of the living water He provides.
