Psalm 100-five short verses, but powerful in providing perspective on our praise and worship to God through singing. Throughout the Bible, we read of the impact worship through song had on a myriad of events. This message suggests that our singing today becomes an act of spiritual defiance that serves to pull us away from the worship of worldly things and brings us to declare that our worship is reserved for God alone. And although there are times when worship is a one-person communication with God, Psalm 100 encourages worship in community, the people of God-all generations-coming together to lift collective voices in gratitude to him.
