Psalm 23 presents a beautiful picture of the response of God, our shepherd, to a variety of our life circumstances. Knowing our need, he provides accordingly and faithfully. Whether we're struggling with overwhelming busyness for which we lack the discipline of control, or feeling ourselves going through that valley of the shadow of death, or lacking the ability to handle whatever is our personal enemy, God is with us and God is for us—ever present to protect, to guide, to comfort. Why would you not want to dwell in the house of the Lord forever?
