Celebration of Hope 2011: We Serve
April 9, 2011 (Weekend Service)
When Mary (sister of Martha and Lazarus) poured nard from the alabaster jar and used her hair to wash the feet of Jesus, she most definitely was stepping outside the societal norm and demonstrating an outrageous love and devotion to Jesus. As the Willow congregation moves into a week of diet of oatmeal, beans and rice-what the poor around the world eat-Christ-followers are challenged to think about the things that they, as individuals and as a church, could do to show outrageous love by resourcing those in need in a variety of tangible ways.
