Finding Courage: Live Faithfully
March 5, 2011 (Weekend Service)
In the Old Testament, we read of Habakkuk and Job, two men of different circumstances, but both men of faith, patience, and endurance. Even in the most difficult and trying situations, they determined that they would stay faithful to God and joyful in his care. No condition in either of their lives would cause them to turn their back on God. Habakkuk and Job wanted God's favor more than they wanted God's gifts in their lives. And so this message asks us: What is really at the center of your relationship with God? Do you mainly want his gifts, his provisions, his answers to prayer, his opening of doors, his comforts? Or at the core of it all, would you be quite happy if you just had him?
