Summer At The Creek: Restoring Hope
June 12, 2010 (Weekend Service)
Like the two disciples walking the road to Emmaus after Jesus' crucifixion, there may be times when we feel that Jesus has let us down, that God has allowed activity into our lives that causes us pain or shame or disappointment. This message reminds us that it is in these down times we need to allow Jesus to restore something in our hearts, something that reinforces for us that we are still in his care and on the road he has set for us. Those who are in a good place in their relationship with God are encouraged to seek out hurting family and friends to offer them the reality of God's ongoing love and care.
