Grieving With Hope

May 22, 2010 (Weekend Service)

Whether it's loss through the death of a family member or friend, loss of a marriage, loss of a job, loss of health or whatever, the approach to grieving loss that most of us follow, because it's what we've learned experientially, is quite far removed from the advice of Scripture on handling grief. This message contrasts the two approaches and sets the main premise on which grieving with hope is dependent. We learn lessons not only for working through personal grief, but also for ways in which we, as individuals and as a church body, can be most supportive to someone grieving a loss.
