Celebration of Hope 2010: We Stand

April 10, 2010 (Weekend Service)

Willow Creek begins its three-week emphasis on Celebration of Hope, when the church community responds to specific needs of the under-resourced around the world. The underlying theme verse, Micah 6:8—"He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God"—encompasses the initiatives of We Stand, We Serve, We Give. This initial message speaks to righteousness and justice and reminds us that Christ-followers have a major responsibility in helping to right wrongs around the world. Taking on the heart of God in meeting the needs of the minimally-resourced brings the kingdom of God to earth.
