In God We Trust: Part 2
February 20, 2010 (Weekend Service)
Once Christ-followers are able to admit that all resources given them are gifts from God, they have to make decisions on how to reflect back to God a portion of those resources for his purposes in the world. Just as Jesus was aware of the offerings of both the rich and the poor in the biblical story of The Widow's Mite, he is aware in this day of our offerings and is concerned about the heart of the giver more than about the amount given. This message, which helps us understand what it means to give through the avenues of tithing, Spirit-prompted giving, and sacrificial giving, encourages us to be open to all three.
