The less-than-ideal circumstances faced by Mary and Joseph as they prepared for the anticipated birth of Jesus give us pause as we consider some of the less-than-positive circumstances—relational, emotional, vocational, medical-under which we might be facing the holiday. But just as God showed up through the birth of Jesus, this message reminds us that whatever might be the chaos of our holiday or the situations of our life, we can be assured that God will show up.
