Probably none of us would negate the fact that there is often a major gap between our expectations and our reality. In Ephesians 5, the apostle Paul has some pretty specific instructions on how we should live—both what our expectations should be and our actual experience should look like. This message speaks to the idea of a constant, ongoing process, both in how we need to think of God working in this time in history and how the Holy Spirit works to fill us. Ephesians 5:19-20 reminds us that when we worship and when we are thankful, we heighten our awareness of the activity of the Spirit. And that's when we can be mightily moved to make a difference in touching the lives of otherswho need to know the love of God.
