Using the New Testament story of John the Baptist confronting the crowds who were awaiting the Christ, this message reminds us of the many ways in which our attitudes need to be aligned to most fully receive all that the Christ has to offer. Like the instructions of John to the crowd, the tax collectors, and the soldiers, we need to manage our lives with giving and honesty and goodness--that our hearts and spirits will be opened up to having more and more room to receive the blessings God wants to pour into us.
