Influence: Part 7
November 1, 2008 (Weekend Service)
Although Mother Teresa is known internationally for her ministry of care and compassion, her journey into that ministry was not without obstacles. Mother Teresa, however, held firm to a number of personal vows that sustained her throughout the delays in getting to the place to which she felt God was calling her and then throughout the years of her inspirational service to the poor. She sets some pretty high standards of response that Christ-followers, as people of influence, might want to imitate in their response to God's call on their lives. This message challenges each of us to a new or renewed vow of yieldedness to steward the ministry of reconciliation in whatever way God asks.
