Playlist: How to Save a Life
March 17, 2007 (Weekend Service)
Jesus’ enemies constantly found reason to criticize and label. He was called a glutton and a drunkard; but perhaps most disconcerting of all to the seemingly pious religious leaders was the fact that Jesus was a friend of sinners. And, of course, that’s just what Jesus expects his followers to be also. Often Christ-followers get so busy in relationship with other believers that they no longer take time to be intentional about reaching out to non-believers, a step which requires replacing Pharasitical-like judgment and condemnation with Christ-like mercy and love. None of us know how much time we or others have on this earth—so how available are you for God to save a life through you?
