Bridging The Great Divides: The Racial Divide
April 21, 2001 (Weekend Service)
Bill Hybels interviews two friends, one black and one white, as they tell their stories in a series of letters to each other in an attempt to understand the racial divide that exists between blacks and whites. In time, the white man begins to understand the difficulties that black Americans face in our culture and the anger that results from injustice blacks face. The black man also realizes that some of black culture have an unfair stereotype that all whites have the same racist attitude. From the interview, we learn that racial reconciliation can only occur when individuals and groups of people have to stop and listen and develop relationship with each other.
