Unwritten: Writing Your Legacy
January 6, 2007 (Weekend Service)
Everyone, upon their death, will be remembered for something. What is the legacy that you will leave behind? Scripture tells us that of the ways of faith, hope, and love, the most important is love. Maybe that’s been the legacy that someone has left for you; but even if you’ve been left with less, it is not too late to begin honing that characteristic into your nature so that it’s part of the legacy you leave. Don’t wait until that nebulous ‘someday’ to start building a legacy. Don’t wait to start getting your faith issues in order. Allow the love of God to grow your capacity to love and your capacity to express it to others. Love—a powerful legacy to leave. Will it be yours?
