Chasing the idealistic American dream is not providing what most people really crave, which is a place to belong, a place to have authentic community with family and friends and neighbors. God wired us up for community and we need to seek his wisdom and truth in the owner’s manual he has provided for us, namely, the Bible, to help us understand how to live life as Christ did. We need to be open to make whatever changes we must to fully pursue physical, emotional, and spiritual health and balance for ourselves and our families. From a place of health, we, like Jesus, can be available, accessible, and interruptible for whomever God wants to bring into our path.
