I Have A Friend Who...: ...Struggles With Balancing Life's Demands
March 24, 2001 (Weekend Service)
Increasingly, people say they have too much to do and no time in which to do it. One reason why we may feel this way is there are more opportunities for activity than ever before. In addition, we now experience life with higher sensory stimulation. When we think back to our lives' most memorable moments, are they times with a lot of opportunity and high stimulation? Likely not. In fact, our soul can feel dried out, exhausted and spent after the pace we sometimes set for ourselves. It comes down to a matter of speed versus soul. For the soul to win, many times we must say no to the pace and activity. When we find that out, we find that is when God will meet us.
