Seasons of the Soul: Summer
February 27, 2001 (Weekend Service)
It's easy to miss the season of summer in our soul. It is usually a time of abundance and stability in our lives. However, if we are not careful, we can get used to it and take it for granted. What are ingredients of a soul's summer season if it's done right? The first key to taking advantage of summer is recreation, when we have a chance to breathe and drink in the goodness of the moment. We also must take time to celebrate, which is mandated by God. In the same season, it is also essential to be in a season of gratitude toward God, who has blessed us in this abundant time of our life. If we recreate, celebrate and become thankful, we can enjoy this season, a season of true blessings.
